I know you lose time when flying across time zones, but do flight websites include those hours when they say the flight will take 9 hours? If I leave Portland, Oregon on a Monday at 12pm, what time would it be (and what day) when I arrived at London, England??

The time difference between Portland and London is 8 hours. So if it's midnight in Portland, it's 8am in London. If the flight is 9 hours and you left at midnight Portland time you would arrive in London at 5pm.
