i am booking a flight from portland or to california and wanted to know if i do need to prove my daughters age cause i didnt the last time and if i need a car seat. and by mean if i am requiered by law to have one on the plane with us. any and all info is much appreciated

You don't need a carseat on the airplane and you aren't required by law to have one. I would go ahead and specify the age. Sometimes if you specify it the ticket will be cheaper, it was when I flew with my son.

I flew with my 3y/o from one continent to another without a carseat, no, you do not need one. You can call the airliner and ask them about their toddler policy. but you really do not need it

Small world. My niece is a Flight Attendant on a Portland to LA tour. She's been there for about 10 years now. Anyways, I don't know if that is your flight or even if it's the same airline. I don't have the answer, but I can ask her and if you re post the question at about 10 AM tomorrow I can tell you what she says. I'll watch your question and if you find a better answer before then it all worked out. I just can't call her right now.
