Frankly, you're not going to find it. Cheap last-minute tickets are generally non-existent -- airlines typically charge more as you get closer to the date, not less. And keep in mind that the $200 you're looking to pay is close to what the going price is for a 14-day advance purchase ticket before tax, so you're actually looking to pay less than this route typically goes for on any given day for a passenger buying in advance. You can try putting in a bid with Priceline or Hotwire to see whether they'd come up with something that low, because that's really the only shot you will have.

you wont find it, trust me. i fly at least once a week to/from PDX (portland) and i know the rates for most the airlines fairly well. your best bet would be to buy a standby ticket on an airline and pray that some people dont show up and take their seats. its too bad jet blue doesnt fly into portland their fares are very cheap. at portland as of right now, southwest is pretty much the cheapest, but to get a good deal you have to buy tickets at least a week in advance. you can probably take the train for about $175 but it would take about 20 hours. its 15 hours from sacramento to portland and 160

US Air, Northwest, United, American and Alaskan Airlines all fly this route non-stop for $279 one-way. Regards, Dan
