Do Indonesian need a transit visa when having transit in Japan connecting to Portland, USA

Do Indonesian need a transit visa when having transit in Japan connecting to Portland, USA ?
I'm planning to visit Portland, Oregon USA from Jakarta, Indonesia but somehow the plane is not from the same company ... I'm searching for the flight and mostly to find an economic fare they mix the flight, e.g. : 1st stop --> Jakarta to Tokyo by Singapore/Garuda Airlines 2nd stop --> Tokyo to Portland by Delta Airlines So in this scenario, do I need transit visa in Japan ?

No transit visa is required when connecting through Japanese airports unless you are changing airports. If all your connections are at one airport for example (NRT - Narita) then you just go through the "Transit" "Connecting Passengers" line. All connections can be made inside the secured part of the airport (airside) so no visa is required. All connecting passengers however go through airport security check (metal detectors and x-ray) again.

Not necessary any visa unless you want to try to get some short sightseeing in Japan.
