Which one gives you the most points on purchases of all items, including flights? I will be flying from Portland, OR to Detroit on a regular basis.

You may want to sign up with Delta as they would have a non-stop flight between Portland and Detroit. First sign up for a frequent flier account. Then if you apply for the Delta SkyMiles American Express, the airline will give you either 20,0000 or 25,000 miles after you make your first purchase. Then you earn 1 mile for each dollar and I think 2 miles for each dollar spent buying a Delta Airlines ticket.
