Is it okay to stay at my flight layover longer if I want to?
Im flying out to portland and I have a layover at San Francisco tomorrow and was wondering if I can stay longer or do I have to get on the flight to Portland? What would happen if I don't complete my flight?

Well your rest of your reservation including any return flights will be canceled now yes you could stay longer in SFO but if you chose a later flight you might have to pay more or pay change fee here is a suggestion now you could do this you once to get to sfo go to your connection gate and volunteer to be bumped. now you would have to hope the flight to Portland is overbooked then you could stay longer.. but of course if your flight isnt full -you would have to take that flight

pay more is the bottom line, and it could be a significant amount if you have a bargain ticket. The other problem, as already pointed it, is that the rest of your ticket is canceled and you need to hope there are seats available on other flights to Portland the same day. Course, there is always the Greyhound Bus.....
